All of us  must wear clothes and some of us really like that idea. For many years I thought the clothing industry was a place that motherly types worked at sewing our clothes and getting a fair wage to do it. I never thought about the atrocities of this  business from a social, ethical, or ecological perspective. I enjoy fashion and wearing the current trends and looking modern. I'm at the age now where fads are no longer an interest to me, but nice clothes still are. BUT, I am horrified at what this industry has become. It no longer supports anything that touches on my values. In fact, it is a blatant slap in the face to anyone with a modicum of humanity. It's time for a change, and that change needs to start with each of us in whatever way we feel comfortable. Certainly, I need to be the change I seek.
